Abstract

Bearing in mind that the Bogotá Comptroller is an entity that performs the surveillance and control of the execution of public resources of the Capital District and in accordance with the Political Constitution of 1991 that in its Article 79 establishes that "All persons have the right to enjoy a healthy environment The law will guarantee the participation of the community in the decisions that may affect it. It is the duty of the State to protect the diversity and integrity of the environment, conserve the areas of special ecological importance and promote education for the achievement of these purposes. "As has been mentioned, the entity in compliance with the regulations and the Institutional Management Plan Ambient -PIGA-, directs its efforts towards the achievement of goals and objectives to the prevention of contaminating, mitigating, and correcting the negative environmental impacts generated in the development of the entity's daily activities, taking into account the importance of strengthening the positive impacts.

For the fulfillment of these goals and the efficient use of resources, it was necessary to develop the activities established by PIGA for the "Efficient Water Use" and "Efficient Energy Use" programs and in this way analyze the management that is carrying out the PIGA and the results that have been obtained lately in the development of its activities.

In accordance with the above, the support provided in the entity is mainly aimed at supporting the development of activities such as technologists in environmental management and public services, in the evaluation and monitoring of the Efficient Use and Savings of Water and Use Programs.
