Abstract

State of the art of the Building Information Modeling “BIM” methodology, at an international and national level; where its origins, references, success stories, support tools, progress, projection, challenges and advantages that its application in construction projects has during its maturation cycle or life cycle (design, execution and operation) are evidenced, as precedent given the importance and benefits that its application entails throughout the life cycle of road infrastructure construction projects in Colombia.
