Todo es música en Bogotá redibujando la identidad sonora

Abstract

This work develops a research project that characterizes the urban soundscapes of Bogotá, focusing on the creation of a musical trilogy composed of concrete and aleatory works inspired by three significant environments: public transportation, urban plazas, and sociocultural manifestations. This report includes preliminaries, the main body of the work, and the created artwork. The body consists of four chapters, conclusions, and bibliography. The chapters cover: 1. Soundscapes: definition and characteristics, relationship between sound and popular culture. 2. Sociocultural and political context. 3. Composition techniques and creative process. 4. The soundscape, education, and collage. The resulting work is published virtually, allowing open access for all interested audiences.
