Abstract

The city of Bogotá presents a high susceptibility to the fall of arboreal individuals, generating a risk for the population of the city, which makes necessary a correct evaluation and management of the risk in the trees, functions entrusted to the Botanical Garden of Bogotá for individuals in the public space for public use, however currently the city of Bogotá does not have a precise evaluation system that allows determining the risk in which the trees are in the city, giving rise to the need to generate a prediction model, through the incorporation of variables given from an external and internal analysis of the tree in search of safeguarding the well-being of the inhabitants of the city. For this, it is intended to create a model that allows evaluating the risk status of individuals in the city of Bogotá from the selection of qualitative and quantitative variables and their application in a sample of 50 individuals belonging to the species Acacia melanoxylon, Eucalyptus globulus. and Cupressus lusitanica, in search of its subsequent comparison with state-of-the-art tests such as sonic tomography and resistance petrography, search for patterns and fundamental variables for risk determination, from a multivariable correlation analysis it was found that of the 22 variables analyzed the most important variables were the shape in the cross section of the stem and root rot, being fundamental for the generation of a prediction model.
