Abstract

This project was developed with the objective of establishing guidelines for the proper management of hazardous waste generated during preventive maintenance at the headquarters of a telecommunications operating company located in the city of Bogotá, through a comprehensive management protocol. of RESPEL. A diagnosis was made for the identification and characterization of the waste generated in the facilities during preventive maintenance, the respective quantification of each type of waste generated was carried out, establishing generation values ​​per month; On the other hand, using the Conesa Fernandez matrix (adapted), the impacts associated with the generation of hazardous waste were assessed to finally formulate the components of prevention and mitigation, internal and external management of waste inside and outside the Power Plant and the execution, monitoring and evaluation, with the purpose of carrying out an adequate management of hazardous waste, contributing to the reduction of risks and impacts to the environment and human health, within the Central headquarters in the Telecommunications operating company.
