Abstract

Firstly, beekeeping is defined as a competitive, equitable and sustainable system, due to the low use of inputs and environmental impact, in addition to being a promoter of technological development, for being an activity that generates employment, produces food and in generality that improves the quality of life of the populations (Vásquez Romero, Martínez Sarmiento, Ortega Flórez, & Maldonado Quintero, 2012). In accordance with the above, the objective of this document is to carry out a pre-feasibility study for the creation of a beekeeping company in the municipality of San Antonio de Tequendama. In this sense, a market study will be carried out to describe the supply and demand of the sector, a technical study will be carried out to diagnose the reliability of the project's development. Thus, the economic viability of the company will be determined through a financial evaluation study. Finally, the results obtained will be presented.
