Resumen
This thesis presents the creation, production, and positioning of Banda María, a Norteño-Banda musical group in Bogotá. The project arose as a response to the need to propose new expressions within the city's independent music scene, integrating traditional elements of the Norteño genre with a unique sound identity, adapted to the local environment. Research and execution included artistic, technical, and strategic aspects: repertoire selection, sound design, visual image, equipment acquisition, construction of a viable business model, and implementation of marketing strategies. The project also addressed the self-management challenges faced by emerging musicians in Colombia, especially those starting out without institutional support. Using a practical and reflective methodology, the stages of the creative and operational process were documented, from rehearsals to participation in actual events. The goal was to consolidate a solid musical proposal that generates an emotional impact on the audience and strengthens the city's cultural diversity. This project seeks to serve as an example of independent artistic entrepreneurship, demonstrating that with planning, commitment, and vision, it is possible to build a professional and sustainable musical proposal through self-management.
