Resumen
Tractor-trailers in Colombia make up a large part of the transportation sector, therefore, they are a fundamental part of the country's economy and its development; trailers are present in areas such as construction and thermoelectric plants, these trailers transport loads greater than thirty tons. Due to the conditions of the roads in the national territory, moving these loads becomes a dangerous task, therefore, it is necessary to implement safety measures to the gates through which the material is unloaded, avoiding possible accidents on the road, inside the industries or ports. the road, inside the industries or ports. The main objective of this project is to design and analyze the resistance of a pneumatic locking system for double tipping dumpers, heavy load transport vehicles with two axles. The calculations will be made under the criterion of criticality, worst condition (maximum capacity that will support the closure) on which the pneumatic closure system can work; validating the different loads that are transported, generally, are sand, stone, rubble, marble, granite among other stone materials and granular materials, making the selection of the densest material, in order to generate the calculations under the most critical conditions resulting in a reliable and safe design. For the mathematical model of the pneumatic locking system, calculations of stresses in the gate in which it will be installed will be developed, therefore, a previous dimensioning of the gate will be implemented, specifying the point of greatest inertia, maximum moment and maximum force, according to the specifications of the material with which the trailer is manufactured, likewise, the necessary dimensions for the axle and pneumatic lock that make up the side and rear locking system of the trailer will be selected based on the expected loads on the gate.
