Resumen
This degree work seeks to find interpretative similarities and differences in the performance of Colombian musical styles of bambuco and Jota chocoana from the language of drummers Jeff Ballard and Satoshi Takeishi that will be contrasted with the traditional forms of execution of these traditional sounds. This implies adaptations to the drum set of percussion instruments typical of each proposed sound. My interest is to find through this work tools and strategies that contribute to the construction of my language in the interpretation of these genres. Also find relationships between the two aspects, the traditional and the modern, comparing, transcribing the music and comparations such as: technical aspects, the accompaniment and the fill's, among others, and to clarify the function that the percussion plays, as I know in the traditional rhythms of bambuco and jota chocoana, seeking to find musical convergences between this sound with jazz drum set, now that is part of the school that are me learning in the university.
