Resumen
The report outlines a technical study on the strategic placement of air quality monitoring stations in the Teusaquillo and Barrios Unidos neighborhoods of Bogotá, focusing on the main and arterial roads with high vehicular traffic. Using macro and micro localization parameters, optimal locations were identified for the installation of traffic-type stations, both conventional and indicative, considering key aspects such as road connectivity, vehicle density, land use, and local meteorological conditions. The analysis also includes the selection of appropriate equipment to measure pollutants such as particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5, sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2), and Black carbon, ensuring data accuracy and representativeness. Furthermore, areas with the highest traffic volume were prioritized, proposing a phased implementation to allow more efficient coverage of areas with greater environmental impact, in compliance with international technical standards to ensure the reliability and usefulness of the information obtained.
