Resumen
During the internship, the general objective was to evaluate the reliability of transformers for base stations in Cundinamarca in mobile communications systems, for which it began with the compilation of information related to incidents presented in a period of one year, between January and July 2018 and between January and May 2019. These data were organized according to the fields required for analysis in the present project: the base station where the fault occurred, the initial and final dates of the fault, description, diagnosis, cause and solution for each one. In order to analyze these tickets, a table of failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) was proposed in which the description of the different failure modes of the medium voltage system, protection system, structure, grounding system and transformation system that could
be taken out by the service base station is made. Having this table, we proceeded to organize the collected incidents, classifying them according to what was planted in the FMEA table. With the dates given, the times of unavailability, Mean Time To Repair and Mean Time Between Failures were calculated for each site. Subsequently, the probability of occurrence of failures in the elements that were determined to have the greatest failure was simulated under the Monte Carlo method. Finally, action plans were proposed that will allow the company to reduce the failures in the base stations treated in the internship.
