Abstract

This research presents the work of creating the dance work "In a street of Tamalameque, Memories of the Tambora", which collects the experience of ethnographic research that was carried out in the municipality of Tamalameque-Cesar. The documentation of this research focused on systematizing the main characteristics of the dance, playing and singing called Tambora, as well as the cultural practices that contribute to these characteristics. The work aims to visualize the Tambora of Tamalameque in the field of artistic education since the object of creation is a teaching tool for the dance ensemble and also for the formal teaching of groups, companies, hotbeds, etc. This project refers to the memory of the culture of Tamalameque and the cultural, oral, artistic and ancestral riches that have been present for years, these were compiled through conversations, interviews and direct participation in different cultural events in Tambora.
