Resumen
This research was carried out in the company Agropecuaria Provecol S.P.U S.A.S, located in San Pedro de Urabá, Antioquia, this company is dedicated to provide basic chemical products and for agricultural use at regional level, have a history of more than 34 years. In the last decade, they acquired an accounting information system in which they manage inventories in terms of quantities, so they have perceived improvements in business management and timely availability of information, although they have encountered shortcomings in the moment of implement actions to control inventories based on expiration dates, considering that: the appointment of staff, the time for being a manual operation generates operational exhaustion, inefficiency, waste and in general it has become in a necessity that requires attention from priority character. Reason for which,this work is looking for the answer to the question: ¿How to increase the level of management and control of the activity of verification of the expiration dates of chemical products and agricultural raw materials for live animals of the company Agropecuaria Provecol S.P.U S.A.S?. Based on the aforementioned, the scope or final result of the project is defined: the generation of a proposal for the low-cost operation and maintenance management model, for which it is necessary to perform the diagnosis in the first instance (nominal group technique, ABC classification, Ishikawa and Pareto diagrams), then the definition of parameters for the model (forecasting methods and procurement policy) and finally tool design.
