Resumen
The project "INFLUENCE OF A TEMPERATURE FROM INTERCRYTIC TEMPERATURE WITH CRIOGENIA AND A RESISTANCE TO ABRASIVE WEAR RESISTANCE IN A STEEL A-131" was carried out in order to analyze a metal used mainly in the naval industry, an ASTM A-131 steel , this material was thermally treated by a quenching process at intercritical temperatures, followed by a cryogenics at two different times and a tempering process at two determined times and temperatures, then a hardness profile was taken and metallographic studies were carried out in order to know its composition and make a better analysis of its mechanical properties, finally our samples were taken to the test of abrasive wear with sand and dry disk being weighed before and after to be able to obtain its weight loss and find which of the treatments and times provided gave us an improvement in abrasive wear resistance and thus contribute with this knowledge to the industrial ctor can increase the field of applications. Then we will go deeper into each process carried out in the realization of this degree project where standards, technical data, measurements will be detailed, among other methods through which the study material passed and allowed us to analyze how our processes affected the material.
