Resumen
A comparison between the products (CO, O 3, NO 2 and SO 2) of the Sentinel-5p satellite with its TROPOMI instrument (TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument) and the products is presented. air quality land stations in the city of Bogotá (Colombia). The measurements made by TROPOMI are compared with the data of the stations during the period between August 2018 and August 2019, together the influence of climatic and meteorological variables in the different air quality data is analyzed. According to the statistical analysis and spatial observations, similarity is observed in the behaviors of the time series of the study variables between satellite and terrestrial data. The maps made reveal spatio-temporal characteristics, such as the areas of greatest pollution, trends in concentrations, and the dynamics of emissions from fixed sources once the TROPOMI observations against terrestrial observations have been validated. The results provide an approximation for its use in air quality monitoring in the city of Bogotá, as well as to monitor pollution levels in urban and rural sites. In general, TROPOMI provides data that complements air quality data on land (available with high temporal resolution) and helps describe the spatio-temporal variability of different air pollutants.
