Reggaeton music is a danceable musical genre that has sparked controversy and various types of debates in society; due to its explicit lyrics that talk about parties, sex, drugs, it has been rejected by certain groups and accepted by others, but today it is a musical practice among young people. This work narrates and reflects on the emergence of reggaetón towards the end of the 20th century, through a socio-historical review that some exposes important facts related to various cultural, social, and geographical phenomena, and proposes possible routes of arrival of this to Colombia; Since, in recent years, the national reggaeton music production has attracted attention for its interesting proposal to the world of this music scene. Alejandro Ramírez, who receives the alias of "Sky breaking the bass", is one of the producers belonging to the group of young people that has stood out in Colombia and in the world for their interesting music production and for having achieved success with the renowned el singer J Balvin; and in turn, this work analyzes and describes the musical production processes used in three of his most recognized songs in recent years. In this way, some observations, reflections, and questions are collected in the form of a conclusion that seek to expand the understanding of the way in which Colombian reggaeton became possible in the country and bring the academy closer to these urban musical practices.
