Resumen
The environmental social service offered by the botanical garden Jose Celestino Mutis, arms to integrate the secondary education student to the society. This integration is developed so the social and environmental needs, of a specific social and local context. As students of the curricular proyect of the degree in Biology of the Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas, we are part of this program so it is posible to help education and envoronmental training of the students. These aspects include the wáter management, territory, bidiversity, and climate change. There is a recognition of the territory and the strategic ecosistems of the city through the tour. There is also a monitoring and technical orientation during the implementation of the envoronmental initiatives designed by the students. These initiatives ara oriented towards the creation of an active and critical attitude in the students and other people participating of the society. This critical attitude should enable the students to chenge their realities and their context. In order to contribute to the didactic and pedagogic skills of the degree in biology, it is designed a methodological proposal. This proposal is considered from the action and participation research (in spanish IAP). This research is developed with the design of a primer of activities where the mechanisims for recognising and prioritising the environmental issues are included. This primer can be used as a helping tool for the envoronmental social service through the developement of traning worhshops, the creation of envoronmental initiatives and their implementation.
