Diseño e Implementación de una Metodología para la Gestión de Información Geográfica en el Marco de la Ejecución Del S.I.G Institucional de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas

Abstract

This internship fulfills its main objective, which aims to design and implement a methodology to establish an Integral System for Planning, Administration and Maintenance Protocol of the general Physical Plant of each of the headquarters of the Francisco José de Caldas District University (UDFJC) Supported by a Geographical Information System (GIS) in order to regulate the spatial organization, the use and administration of the spaces for the optimal functioning of the Institutional infrastructure, providing reliability of each of the procedures involved in the manipulation of Geographic Information (GI). The project methodology is based on the implementation of district and institutional policies in addition to national GI standards and their relationship with the planning, expansion and sustainability of the physical infrastructure that makes up the University Campus, taking into account three of the stages that constitute The life cycle of GI for its regulation in the institution: production, updating, maintenance and quality control, as well as establishing the procedural flows to ensure that the GI is sustainable through its passage through each of the stages that Are part of their life cycle as a basis for the management of UDFJC educational facilities at urban, headquarters and architectural levels. In general terms the project develops seven sections: the first addresses the problem approach; The second contains the justification aspects of the project, its suitability and relevance; The third establishes the purpose of carrying out the structuring of the institutional GIS; The fourth section develops the theoretical framework to address the current context and the topics that are relevant to examine; The fifth the methodological proposal with its respective schematic approach that allows to implement the stage of consolidation of the institutional GIS and to evaluate it under parameters of quality; The sixth presents the work schedule that was implemented in the execution of the project; The seventh presents the results obtained in the following way: the diagnosis of the management procedures and actors of the GI that currently condition the physical plant of the UDFJC, the proposal of the methods that should parameterize the GI, having as reference the life cycle Of the same and the reports associated to the quality evaluation of quantitative elements established in the Colombian technical norms according to the proposed guidelines. Finally, the analysis sections of the results, conclusions and recommendations are presented to implement a methodology for the management of quality geographic information within the framework of the implementation of the second stage of institutional GIS
