Resumen
The project developed a comprehensive direct current (DC) energy management system using power line communication (PLC) technology, aiming to optimize energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve monitoring of critical processes. The system was implemented based on ESP32 microcontrollers, PZEM-004T multifunction sensors, and relay and contactor control modules, enabling real-time data collection and centralized and secure management of power distribution. Communication over the existing electrical grid, combined with the WebSocket protocol, facilitated efficient telemetry transmission, while the user interface was designed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) compatible with limited connectivity environments. The RESTful backend in Flask and the PostgreSQL database guarantee historical storage and reliable operation of services, adopting a microservices architecture that ensures fault tolerance and modularity. The solution demonstrates a sustainable, technically and socially applicable approach, enabling energy consumption monitoring, anomaly detection, and efficient power control in residential and community settings, offering an innovative alternative to conventional management and cabling systems.
