Abstract

This project was carried out in order to present the proposal and implement a new plant layout for Mecanizados de Precisión SM. S.A.S. located in the Ingles neighborhood of Rafael Uribe Uribe in Bogota. It is developed as the final report of the degree work in the form of business internship and prerequisite for obtaining the degree of production engineering at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Mecanizados de Precisión SM. S.A.S. is dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of products made of metallic materials and engineering plastics through mechanical processes of chip removal, punching and rolling. The increase in demand makes necessary the acquisition of more machines and equipment, which causes a considerable reduction of space, therefore, it is mandatory to reorganize all areas, for which a diagnosis is made, evaluating the processes, risks, time and storage, a proposal that improves all the elements mentioned above, an implementation plan and finally the reorganization is executed.
