Resumen
The document will present the category of Double Instrumentalization as another form of dialogue between religion and politics thanks to the hinge element that allows the articulation between these institutions: the mediated political-confessional logic. The approach to the documentary corpus is carried out through the analysis of the multimodal discourse to identify the expressions of the proposed category in mediatized cults of the Iglesia Manantial de Vida Eterna, Bogotá main headquarters during the parliamentary and presidential elections of 2018 and to the mayoralty of Bogotá of 2019. The findings show that religious social practices (evangelization and cultural) adopted and adapted discourses of social practices of political participation (elections, formation of political movements, definition of political candidates) and vice versa, recontextualizing simultaneously through the symbolic game between religion and politics. that allow the strategies of Double Instrumentalization. The findings allow us to understand some discursive and semiotic constructions of the community that allow us to answer the questions: Why should we do this? (legitimization of the political participation of Christians) or "Why should we do this in this way? (the purpose of mediated confessional political logic).
