Resumen
In this research presents the formulation of strategic lines of action to improve the quality of water for human consumption in Vereda Mochuelo Alto. For the development of the study 2 interviews were conducted with academics and/or experts, and 45 surveys were conducted with the population to know their perspective on the quality of the water they consume, its incidence on public health and proposals for solutions to the problems exposed; also, water samples collected in the field were analyzed in the laboratory. Among the results found, it is highlighted that: (1) 51% of the respondents state that they have had some problem with the quality of the water and/or provision of the water supply service; (2) in three of the five water samples taken in the homes, there is non-compliance with physical and/or microbiological characteristics; (4) only 13% of the respondents state that their health has been affected by the quality of the water; (5) seven strategies are formulated and prioritized according to the perspectives of the community. Finally, it is concluded that there are deficiencies in the quality of water for human consumption, however, according to the perception of the community and health reports, there is no strong impact on public health; on the other hand, according to the criteria of time, costs and effectiveness, the strategy to be prioritized in the first place is related to "training the Aqueduct personnel" where strategic lines of action related to inter-institutional articulation are highlighted.
