Resumen
The current document arises from the need of the municipality of Sabaneta in collaboration with the Secretary of Environment of said municipality, to consolidate in documentary form a characterization, quantification and strategies for reuse of solid waste that are generated in the rural area of this municipality, so that this document serves as a pilot or as a means of exemplification for a future implementation of an integrated management plan of solid waste within the rural area of the municipality. In turn, the rural area of the municipality of Sabaneta is comprised of six neighborhoods (María Auxiliadora, Las Lomitas, La Doctora, San José, Cañaveralejo and Pan de Azúcar), for which, according to the designation of my supervisor in charge, I was given the neighborhood of Cañaveralejo to compose a proposal for an integral solid waste management plan, ideal for the geomorphology and the population of this small place that is part of the rural area of the municipality. The methodology was implemented in different phases in order to facilitate the collection and analysis of information, and to carry out strategies for the improvement of sanitation in the Cañaveralejo area. A fundamental part of consideration was the acquisition of information through relevant documents collected by the public entities of the place and through documentary tools such as a survey. This serves as an accurate way for a post data analysis, after the respective database is obtained. With its subsequent analysis, we looked at the problems that afflict this neighborhood and a way to provide solutions. Through strategies of reduction, reuse and recycling, these solutions will be consummated with designs of ecological points, selective collection routes and awareness campaigns directed to the inhabitants of the place for the generation of a civic culture related to a correct management of solid waste.
