Resumen
In the perspective of contributing to the understanding of the political nature of educational discourse, this work proposes an exercise in analysis around the field of education, because this field is the cornerstone of the project of modernity in the West. ; In particular, it emphasizes the discourse that has been defining it in the last decades (90s) and whose current hegemonic expression is embodied in the neoliberal view. From the Identification of some features that make up the logic of modern rational thought, the relationship between politics and education (governmentality) is established, around notions such as modernity and development with the structural implications that entails in social and institutional dynamics . Likewise, the transformations of the State model and its repercussions in the school system, the inclusion of the New Public Management and the effectiveness and efficiency criteria as performance benchmarks are pointed out. A portrait of the effects of these policies in the field of education is presented, as an articulating scenario of social policy, as well as the current dynamics of economic production. To explain the scope of the prevailing conception, an explanatory model is exposed, as a theoretical proposal, where structural axes of discourse are established and notions are identified that, by virtue of being reiterated, have shaped an image of education that ends for being socially appropriate, with the concomitant effects in the production of certain types of subjectivities required by the current development model.
