Abstract

The degree project work with the title "identification of hazards, assessment of safety risks and estimation of controls for the company DISTRILACTEOS LA ESPERANZA LTDA" aims to carry out a diagnosis of processes and sub-processes developed in the company, identifying the hazards to which that are exposed to workers using the methodology selected below. In order to know which methodology to use, a prior consultation of three methodologies used for the identification and assessment of risks was made, the first was the method of William T Fine, with this methodology the identification of hazards, risk assessment can be carried out. and the justification of the corrective action presenting the control actions. The diagnosis of processes and sub-processes was carried out to emphasize the tasks performed by the workers, in this way, with the information compiled, the risk identification and assessment matrix was developed with the methodology of William T Fine, consequently it was carried out an analysis of the controls in each one of the evaluated dangers and in this way establish if the controls are viable or not. Achieving the identification of 39 dangers, subsequently valued, finding 28 notable risks, and 11 high risks, each of them was proposed an intervention measure accompanied by the cost, to determine the corrective action, thus achieving to find that the 39 risks have justification with relation to corrective action.
