Resumen
This interpretative reflection is located within the historical and epistemological discussions that address the understanding of the object of knowledge of biology and its educational teaching, fundamentally, of the problems that deal with the conceptions that are configured in the professional training of biology graduates and that, it could be said, are visible in their educational practices. The training of biology graduates takes place in a multiethnic and multicultural context where statements circulate, oppose, coexist, are ignored and reinterpreted, from the revealing substrate of speech, from different discourses, practices, and rationalities, not only from the cultures that went through the nineteenth-century processes of modernity and European modernization but also from the cultures that still exist in deep Colombia. For this reason, to characterize the conceptions of biology graduates, in initial training, about the object of knowledge, analytics of existentialism or experience of self was carried out, employing a bibliographic survey, a narration on socialization and subjectivation in Colombia and multiple weighting Likert Type scale questionnaires allowed the understanding of the configuration of the conceptions, concluding, among other things, that the mental schemes through which the biology graduates think, feel and act correspond to the symbolic frameworks of action of the Colombian society.
