Apoyo en la caracterización geológica municipal en el diagnóstico de la estructura biofísica para la actualización del EOT del municipio de Cumbitara – Nariño.

Abstract

The municipality of Cumbitara adopted its Territorial Ordering Scheme (EOT) in 2004 through Agreement No. 013 of May 29. Later, in 2014, through agreement 007 of March 25, an exceptional review and adjustment of the Territorial Ordering Scheme (EOT for its acronym in Spanish). Taking into account the above and as a result of the fact that currently the E.O.T. of the municipality lost its validity in the short and medium term. The municipality does not have an updated planning instrument that responds to the current environmental and socioeconomic characteristics, therefore, it is necessary to update and adjust the EOT in the municipality of Cumbitara (Nariño). In this context, this document is part of the review and adjustment of the E.O.T, in the diagnostic stage and serves as support in the characterization of the municipal geology, and as support in the environmental dimension of the Rural component. The methodology used comprises 3 stages; Preliminary, Enlistment and Diagnosis, based on the modern Territorial Planning Plans (POT for its acronym in Spanish) methodology, which was adapted in order to support cartographic elaboration following the guidelines of the Agustín Codazzi Geographical Institute (IGAG for its acronym in Spanish). The results of the internship are: an inventory of the available geological cartography of the municipality.The identification of geological units, faults, folding and mining operations, the analysis of stratigraphic-lithological, structural-tectonic and mining information associated with municipal geology and finally the geological cartographic products (Annex 1 and 2).
