Resumen
This document will provide a description of what is intended with respect to establishing those success factors that MSME companies in the food sector in Colombia have with certification of the NTC ISO 14001:2015 standard, understanding that knowledge of these success factors for Managers, environmental coordinators and senior management in companies are the key or the basis for unleashing preconceived structures that influence the successful case studies that many companies have today in Colombia. The need to identify the factors that contribute to the success of MSME companies certified in the ISO 14001:2015 standard in the food sector in Colombia is raised, and how these factors could be improved to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of companies in this sector. This thesis is relevant because it will allow MSMEs in this treated sector to improve updated orientation towards the most convenient action strategies without assuming high costs and using simple technical tools, which will allow companies to improve their efficiency, productivity and increase its competitiveness in the market. Giving then as a conclusion a contribution to the response of the balance between the consumption of a society, economic deficit, pandemics or recessions and the objectives of sustainable development that lead to the same goals, favorable achievements and a contribution to the discussion or paradigm for the current viability of the NTC ISO 14001:2015 certification that micro, small and medium-sized companies in the food sector have.
