Actualización de la evaluación regional del agua - ERA, desde el componente de riesgo asociado al impacto de los recursos naturales en el contexto de la cuenca hidrográfica de la jurisdicción de la Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca - CAR

Abstract

In order to update the Regional Water Evaluation, from the risk component, taking into account impacts of the Natural Resources in the context of the hydrographic basin of jurisdiction of the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca, through its implementation in the determination of the vulnerability index to torrential events, evaluation of natural hazards determined by torrential floods, and floods, scenarios are proposed to improve and facilitate its implementation based on the revision of said document and secondary information. To this end, the cartography and information provided by the corporation was reviewed, identifying its status and relevance, and a definition and delimitation of the study area was made based on the cartographic analysis of the basin using Geographical Information System tools such like the ArcGIS software, version 10.3.1. The methodology used was determined by the calculation of the Vulnerability Index to torrential events, as a hydrological indicator and the zoning of traffic and contiguous areas that could be affected by avalanche processes. As a complement, a current and trend analysis of natural phenomena was carried out to identify areas vulnerable to the occurrence of torrential floods, fires and changes in vegetation cover and their impacts at the territorial level.
