Propuesta Metodológica para la Elaboración de un Plan Estratégico de Gestión de Activos Sector Eléctrico.

Abstract

A suitable review of the literature about Asset Management in the energy sector, which is useful as reference for tools development that in the future will strengthen the implementation of “asset management” systems in this sector. Also, it allows to present different Methodologies used in companies with satisfactory and documented experiences. This document was elaborated with the purpose of giving guidelines to those Companies in the energy sector who are interested in creating their own asset management system, those guidelines are based on the verification of the current status of “asset management”; furthermore, we are going to do some research of the best practices adopted by companies in the development of the Strategic Plan for Asset Management to support this documents aim. This investigation begins with the presentation of a historical review related to the Asset Management System in the energy sector; secondly, there is an overview of enterprise success stories related to companies which already have an asset management system implemented and certified, and companies which have already passed through the Initial stage of the implementation of the Asset Management System. The information was extracted, studied, analyzed and classified by the documentation of all this process founded on their websites. After all, regarding those results of the analysis, a methodology for the elaboration of the Strategic Plan of Asset Management is presented, so at the end, the methodology is developed through an example and it is completed with the presentation of the conclusion and results obtained.
