Servicios ecosistémicos culturales del territorio indígena del Corregimiento La Pedrera, Amazonas-Colombia

Abstract

Cultural Ecosystem Services (SEC) are defined as the intangible benefits provided by ecosystems and affecting the spiritual and cognitive well-being of humans, currently study is determined by a number of different methods that seek to improve in order to determine those involving greater significance in the communities, as only through these can achieve a more accurate diagnosis either as a contribution to regional characterization processes or territorial planning. Through semi-structured interviews, it was identified in (3) three indigenous reserves and one (1) lane in the village of La Pedrera Department of Amazonas, the variety of SEC mainly associated with human activities and perceptions of the people of the area and its relationship and influence over the organization of the territory by identifying Units Ecosystem Services Providers (UPSE). The main results of the Colombian Amazon is identified as a provider of the seven cultural ecosystem services evaluated in this study, on the other hand, the distribution of communities represents to some extent the perceptions of the territory as it is possible to observe established in areas where the similarity to other known sites generates security and where other perceptions as associated memories or access to different SEC are printed, and where the vegetation cover as the dense forest and water bodies are of vital importance. This study supports the need for the protection and care of indigenous communities living in this ecosystem and highlights the central role of tropical forests in providing services that promote the survival of a high diversity of species of fauna and flora that give spiritual, social and ontological formation of human communities.
