Resumen
In this study the integration of tools GIS GIS and analysis of precipitation including hydrological model HEC-HMS and the hydraulic model HEC-RAS in the Río Acacías located in the Department of Meta, which it gave final result areas likely to flood mapping at 1: 125,000. SCS hydrological method was used because of its simplicity, in this case, ease of application and quality of results, and considering the limited existing hydrometric information. At first, the Digital Elevation Model basin and drainage network It was delimited, morphometric characteristics of the area was subsequently calculated and compatible files for HEC-HMS software was generated. In a second stage, the hydrological response of the basin through design storm for a return period of 100 years was calculated, rainfall records on rainfall stations located within the basin or close to it . As a third point, the software was used HEC-RAS using sections cross the channel and the maximum flow for the return period of 100 years, allows calculation the height of the water level of the flow and the delimitation of flood areas. As a last point, the results HEC-RAS to integrate GIS for visualization and mapping of flood-prone areas to scale 1: 125,000.
