SIPUP - Sistema de Información Predial Urbano de Pitalito

Abstract

The incorporation of the high tech tools in the planning processes of the territories is an efficient way of managing and setting the information, reducing times in the processes and generating economic benefits. Because of this, we use the Geographic Information Systems - SIG which include web applications as a mechanism for the dissemination of territorial information. Nowadays, Pitalito´s Municipality does not have a GIS of urban regulations that includes the Land Use Plan, for this reason, it has been proposed the consolidation of the “Sistema de Información Predial Urbano de Pitalito “- SIPUP that can be visualized and consulted through a web application . SIPUP is a solution to the current analogous and decentralized methods that hamper the distribution and availability of information, which consolidates it as a tool in: decision making, transmition of knowledge to the community, removing of formalities in official entities and the urban planning.
