Resumen
Gender-based violence is normalized in romantic relationships among young people at the Federico García Lorca District Educational Institution. This research aims to analyze how social representations of love among high school students at this institution naturalize gender-based violence in romantic relationships. The methodology is a flexible qualitative approach divided into two moments: constructing the social representation of love scheme and analyzing its implications for social reality. The research instruments include semi-structured interviews, love letters, and a guide for organizing and structuring the elements. The results demonstrate the construction of a social representation of love scheme for men and women, based on gender stereotypes and female subordination. The study concludes that these social representations of love and naturalized violence impact the erotic-affective relationships of young people and society as a whole.
