Resumen
The main objective of this work is to make an economic, technical and performance comparison between two construction methods for the execution of basements in the city of Bogotá, one is the Top-Down method, which allows from a certain point as its name it indicates to build up and down at the same time, this method has had a great acceptance at Bogotá level generating great benefits which will be seen and explained later. Generally for this Top-Down method, piles, beams and construction struts are used to help maintain soil stability considering the bad geo-mechanical conditions it has in the city of Bogotá. The second method is the SPRINGSOL method which uses a new and innovative technique, with which it is intended to stabilize and/or contain cohesive soil masses by means of special anchors constructed with the tool SPRINGSOL (Patented by Soletanche Bachy) which have a larger bulb diameter and can generate a greater friction force, to be able to carry out open-pit excavations, thanks to his technical viability, allowing to build the project 3 weeks before the top-down method and generating a saving of 6% of the total value.
