Abstract

The activities of this internship were developed within the framework of the implementation of what was agreed in the Peace Agreement, in which it is established that the National Government will implement a General System of Comprehensive and multipurpose Cadastral Information, which in a maximum term of 7 years specify the formation and updating of the rural cadastre, link the registry of rural real estate and execute it within the framework of municipal autonomy. In this context, the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute proposes a methodology to develop a territorial characterization prior to the cadastral process to be carried out in order to implement a multipurpose cadastre in the country. Taking into account the above, this internship had special interest in relation to territorial characterization in the biophysical and environmental component, following the guidelines established in the document "Methodological guidelines for municipal territorial characterization for multipurpose cadastre purposes" and was oriented towards the fulfillment of the objectives set from the methodological design of 4 phases that are described throughout this document.
