Diseño de un catálogo virtual como herramienta de divulgación sobre la importancia social y científica de las plantas medicinales del Tropicario del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá

Abstract

The Botanical Garden of Bogota José Celestino Mutis (JBBJCM), houses a wide variety of medicinal plants with a significant social and scientific value. In the group of useful plants of Colombia, about 15% of the plants are medicinal species. Therefore, the objective of the work proposed here is to disseminate the properties of these plants, in order to recognize their importance and promote their knowledge through the design of a virtual catalog. From this perspective, the design and implementation of the virtual catalog of medicinal plants through QR represented a fundamental and functional tool within the development of the environmental experience in the JBBJCM, because through it a closer dialogue with the participants was achieved, creating a space for conversation where empirical and even technical knowledge regarding medicinal plants and the specific use of some of them was recognized.
