Resumen
The guitar repertoire in Bogotá encompasses a vast number of composers and styles, both Latin American and from different parts of the world. However, some authors such as the Brazilian guitarist-composer Aníbal Augusto Sardinha "Garoto", although recognized mainly in Brazil, are not very well known or performed in Bogotá due to the limited dissemination and knowledge of their works, thus such a valuable repertoire is overlooked. Garoto is a figure of great importance in the history of Brazilian popular music. Discussing his life and work in this monograph is impossible without mentioning innovation (technical and compositional), virtuosity, the incorporation of jazz into the music of Brazil, and his role in the emergence of Bossa Nova. In order to achieve a correct interpretation, this work will be based on a structured analysis methodology, for which a brief biographical review and technical requirements will be carried out, as well as a harmonic analysis, which explains and shows the qualities of the chosen works. Since these works are of popular tradition, all of the above will be supported by information obtained from interviews with some teachers from the ASAB Faculty of Arts. The repertoire selected as the object of study is as follows: DuasContas Desvairada Jorge do Fusa Lamentos do Morro Um Rosto de Mulher. To exalt and promote the appreciation for Garoto's work, as well as to establish a reliable point of reference (providing guidelines and tools for harmonic analysis and interpretation) are objectives that this work aims to achieve fully, seeking in this way to make a good contribution to the guitar and musical environment in Bogotá.
