Resumen
With a theoretical basis in mathematics political science and semiology, «Orgía democrática» (Democratic Orgy) is intended to redefine and energize the roles of composer, performer and public in the classical concert through the transit between determinism, indeterminacy, randomness and improvisation. Created for guitar and guitarist, OD presents the dynamism of roles as its structuring element. Through this work, I intend to briefly expose both the conceptual floor and the technical resources I used during the creation of this work. The first part is aimed at presenting the conceptual framework on which «Orgía democrática» is based: What is the socio-political thing? How does music materialize through mathematics? How does it become musical material comparable to other dimensions of music such as pitch or rhythm? In the second part, I explain aspects of OD related to pitch and rhythm. I conclude with a chapter in which I problematize some aspects of the avant-garde ethics that OD exposed during the creative process.
