“Coming out- Saliendo del Closet”: Narrativas de Jóvenes que Afrontaron la Experiencia de Develar una Identidad Sexual no Normativa.

Abstract

This work addresses the experiences of seven young people who narrate the process of unveiling a non-normative sexual identity. These are collected from the biographical method and the in-depth interview, which highlights the voices of young people who experienced critical moments of violation and discrimination for their sexual orientation. From its discursive repertoires a framework of analysis is proposed, in which emerges as problematic axes the institutionality understood as the primary spaces of socialization as are the family and the school. The territory as a space of symbolic construction in the interaction with equals. Corporality as a mediator of experiences and affectivity as a protection mechanism. Elements that made it possible to express how in the daily life young people are victims of homogenizing practices of gender and sexuality.
