Resumen
In Colombia, since the 1990s, environmental education has been established as a valuable tool for the training of individuals aware of the need to build a society that responds to the search for social well-being, and that allows the collective construction of values that guarantee long-term changes through the search for an institutional strengthening strategy that allows carrying out an adequate educational environmental management to solve social problems taking into account the context and the relationship between the population, the territory and the environment. In order to respond to this need, from Law 99 of 1993, the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR) is in charge of executing policies, plans, programs and projects on the environment and natural resources to achieve the sustainable development in the municipalities of its jurisdiction, for which reason, within the four-year Action Plan 2020 - 2023 of the CAR, the "Education, Communication and Environmental Knowledge" program was established, which has as one of its goals to develop strategies for social technical advice to territorial entities in the formulation and implementation of the National Environmental Education Policy through Territorial Environmental Education Plans, which are constituted as the navigation chart of the municipal CIDEAs, organizing and revitalizing territorial initiatives in environmental education matter (CAR, 2019). The purpose of this project is to support the strengthening of environmental management carried out by the "Natural Planet" Foundation within the framework of the CAR, to the municipalities of the Bajo Magdalena, Guaduas, Caparrapí and Puerto Salgar Regional Directorate in order to execute and analyze the "Territorial Plans for Environmental Education" respectively; presenting a scenario to contextualize and allow to materialize the Environmental Education of the study area.
