Apoyo a la optimización de los componentes de abastecimiento y potabilización del sistema de acueducto del municipio de Sibaté

Abstract

The report documents the internship carried out at Grupcing S.A.S., focused on the optimization of the Sibaté aqueduct system. Its main objective was to analyze and design strategies to improve the sustainability and efficiency of the system in the face of population growth and water limitations. Four key aspects were addressed: hydrological analysis to evaluate an alternative source of supply, study of Threat, Vulnerability and Risk (AVR) of natural phenomena, diagnosis of the hydraulic capacity of the purification system and design of improvements in the projected modular PTAP. The results included the projection of the maximum daily flow for 2053 at 139.25 L/s, the proposal for extraction of 90 L/s from deep wells and the design of a drive line. In addition, a population growth of 56,682 inhabitants was estimated between 2023 and 2053, consolidating the need to implement solutions to guarantee the supply and purification of water.
