Resumen
This undergraduate thesis presents the experiences, activities, and analyses carried out during the internship at the Fundación Cultural SUMMUM DRACO, located at the Porfirio Barba Jacob School in the locality of Bosa, between March and November 2024. The project focused on music education, specifically basic and intermediate-level piano instruction. The main objective was to design and implement a program aimed at teaching piano to the children and youth of the foundation, enabling them to grasp fundamental concepts of music theory and develop a solid foundation in piano technique, reading, and performance. To achieve this, various educational resources were employed, including visual slides, rhythmic worksheets, and group workshops. A careful selection of piano repertoire and method books for technique and sight-reading was also made. As part of the program, final performances were held, allowing students to showcase what they had learned and demonstrate their musical growth. According to the collected data, there was significant improvement in the students' performance in key areas such as music reading, rhythmic reading, articulations and dynamics, piano technique, and both musical and personal motivation. On a scale from 1 to 5, average scores increased from a range of 1.5 to 3.0 in the initial assessment to between 3.7 and 5.0 by the end of the program, reflecting both technical and interpretative progress within the group.
