Resumen
As part of the National Government's Multipurpose Cadastre policy, led by the Agustín Codazzi Geographic Institute (IGAC), the MAGNA-ECO National Geodetic Network (National Geocentric Framework - Continuous Stations) densification project is being carried out through the installation of Continuous Operation Reference Stations (CORS) in various municipalities around the national territory. However, during the exploration and materialization phase of the aforementioned stations, there is constant uncertainty on the part of the communities regarding how these stations benefit them, thus evidencing the absence of a document that addresses these questions and goes deeper beyond the conventional benefits focused on topography and geodesy. Taking into account the above, the main objective of this internship project is to consolidate and disseminate an informative document aimed at rural, peasant, indigenous and/or Afro-descendant communities in municipalities prioritized by the IGAC for the construction of CORS stations, on the qualitative and/or quantitative benefits of a station, in this case, focused on the estimation of tropospheric water vapor through Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data received by the stations. Through this project, we seek to satisfy the need to transfer knowledge, addressing it in a practical way, allowing the community to take ownership of geospatial technologies and understand the benefits of having a station in their municipality.
