Resumen
The objective of this research was the development of critical thinking in boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 11 at the Fernando González Ochoa school, based on literary experience. Critical thinking is understood as a capable and responsible thought that leads to judgment since it is based on criteria, is self-correcting and sensitive to context (Lipman, 1989). The bet of the investigation is to be able to free the children from an automated and memoristic thought and to give the possibility to the questioning, to the taking of decisions, to the self-construction and the search of learning by themselves. In order to achieve this objective, the collection of stories on children's rights was read and later, in dialogue meetings, children showed their position on the recognition of rights and their opinions, relating the text to reality, showing a true literary experience. The research is qualitative and falls within the framework of the action-participation approach based on the transformation of children, teachers and the educational context.
