Resumen
The Environmental Public Policy is a guideline or directive that is taken in front of the planning, protection, prevention and control of natural resources as a result of interests, decisions, actions, political, economic and social agreements and instruments, advanced by the National Government with the purpose of to prevent or solve the environmental needs and problems of the country to be implemented at national, territorial and sectoral level, striving for environmental sustainability. (Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, 2022). A fundamental part of what government does refers to the design, management and evaluation of public policies. These have become a tool that incorporates not only the interests of the State, but also of society through objectives and concrete actions to give response to specific problems. Added to this is the National Development Plan (PND) that Its objective is to set the guidelines for the growth and improvement of the country and determines the processes that must be carried out to meet these goals. The PND is executed by the Government and the National Planning Department in the sectors of environmental management and participation citizen. (DNP, 2022) Reason why, the present work is developed from the internship activities carried out to support the environment and sustainable development department of the National Planning Department (DNP); in which the formulation and implementation of policies, plans, programs and projects are carried out for the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of biodiversity.
