Resumen
In the present work there is established an investigation in which there shows itself the microstructural characterization of a steel ASTM A-572 Grade 50, previously submitted to thermal treatments of recome of 5 and 10 minutes to temperature of beginning of transformation Martensitic of 400 °C, and from tempering to intercritical temperatures of analysis of 750 °, 770 °, 790 ° and 810 °C with sudden cooling in water to a certain time of 30 minutes. Realized the thermal treatments one proceeded to analyze metallographic the material and by means of essays of hardness and microhardness one determined the present constituents in the material, concluding that they influenced these in the transformation of the microstructure ferritic-perlític (basic material) to a microstructure with acounterfoil ferritic-martensitic, demonstrating progress in the hardness of the steel ASTM A-572 Grade 50.
