Resumen
This work aims to establish a school garden as a teaching and learning environment for biodiversity by applying cooperative work in the Colsubsidio Chicala School located in the town of Bosa, with fifth-grade students between the ages of 10 and 12. The implementation of the pedagogical experience is developed within the framework of the qualitative research paradigm and cooperative learning as a transversal axis, integrating teaching and learning strategies through play in alternative spaces to the classroom. This research was developed in three phases 1. Characterization of the educational institution and students; 2. Design of the pedagogical strategy; 3. Experiential teaching-learning sessions. Several aspects were taken into account in the evaluation process, taking into account cooperative and motivational work such as Interest, listening and commitment as intrinsic elements, and the climate of the learning and participation environment as extrinsic elements. As conclusions: a) Living learning environments allow students to improve the intention and disposition of what they learn. b) Motivation is closely linked to the way the teacher implements and arranges the learning elements and tools. c) When students are motivated, the effort to achieve achievement increases and their learning becomes much more meaningful.
