Diseño e Implementación de un Banco de Imágenes Provenientes de Sensores Remotos Pertenecientes al Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (IDEAM) como Apoyo a Consolidación de la Política Nacional de Información Geográfica

Abstract

In the last decade the National Government has become aware of the importance of the use and access to Geographic information resulting in guidelines and the development of policies such as CONPES 3585, which establishes the consolidation of an Image Bank. This is how the need arises for the different institutions, especially those of a public nature, to manage, save and share images from remote sensors, which are currently an important input for the generation of spatial data for decision making. The main objective of this project is the structuring of a Bank of images from remote sensors for the Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales de Colombia IDEAM, based on a theoretical and methodological basis for the design, implementation of a prototype, with Existing images in the entity, so that they can be viewed and downloaded by any user through the network from an institutional geographic viewer.
