Resumen
The research aims to vindicate and encourage knowledge and consultation of the natal chart as a tool for human development. A research monograph with a qualitative approach and narrative-phenomenological design is developed, based on multiple collective case studies as a qualitative research strategy, to situate the experiences and conceptions of the research subjects, resulting from semi-structured interviews conducted with the two population groups defined for the study, namely astrologers and consultants. The information gathered from the application of the instruments was systematized using a matrix structure, based on the categories that mobilized this research process, and analyzed for each of the two cases, using content analysis and critical discourse analysis. Subsequently, these two reports were compared and analyzed to produce a final cross-case report. It was concluded that the reading of the natal chart, understood and used from a psychological and symbolic perspective, is a powerful tool for self-knowledge, personal integration, and, ultimately, integral human development. It has been shown that, far from being a simple predictive exercise, the reading of the natal chart offers a map of the energies, talents, challenges, and potentials inherent in the individual. Studying and consulting them reveals patterns of behavior, deep motivations, shortcomings, shadows, and latent talents, providing a solid basis for personal reflection and conscious decision-making. This monograph may be pioneering in its application of qualitative research methodologies (such as cross-case studies or phenomenological analysis) to unravel the subjective experiences and meanings that people attribute to consulting their birth chart. Thus, it positions itself as a catalyst for a more holistic understanding of the human being, promoting empirical research in uncharted territory and demonstrating that even ancestral practices can be the subject of rigorous and enriching academic analysis.
